Pengaruh kandungan hibrid partikel CaCO3 dan karet dalam perekatan epoxy terhadap kekuatan geser sambungan baja
Abstract
The paper investigates the effect of hybrid of CaCO3 and ground tire rubber in the epoxy adhesive on the shear strength of adhesively bonded steel joints. The content of CaCO3 was in the range of 1-5 wt%, while the content of ground tire rubber was 0, 5 and 10 wt%. It was found that the shear strength of steel joints did not significantly change when the filler worked independently compared to the neat epoxy. However, the shear strength increased significantly for the hybrid of 3wt% CaCO3 and 5 wt% ground tire rubber, up to 146% compared to that of the neat epoxy. The failure of the joint was interfacial for each fille working independently, but it was mixed failure (interfacial and cohesive) for the epoxy filled with the hybrid of CaCO3 and ground tire rubber.Downloads
