In using the NFC in a structure, NFC is often being connected bonded with other materials such as fiberglass reinforced polymer composites. Adhesively bonded composites joint is suitable for connecting dissimilar materials. The paper investigates the effect of ageing in different ageing media on the shear strength of hemp fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester composites bonded to glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester composites joints. The joints were immersed in an aggressive environment (distilled water, alkaline/NaOH solution, acid/vinegar solution, and salt solution) up to 15 days. The results showed that after ageing for 7 days, the shear strength increased by 16%, 16% and 18%, respectively for aging media of distilled water, salt solution and acid solution, whereas aging in alkali solution (NaOH) for 7 days, the shear strength decreased by 29%. After aging time of 15 days in distilled water, salt solution alkaline solution (NaOH) the shear strength decreased by 21, 5 and 72%, while aging in acidic solution, the shear strength is still higher about 15% than the unaged specimens</p> 2024-06-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Andi Surya Putra, Sugiman Sugiman, Paryanto Dwi Setyawan https://jeet.unram.ac.id/index.php/rky/article/view/19 Data Center and Virtual Machines Configuration Experiments in the CloudSim Simulator on Cloudlet Performance 2024-04-10T11:19:26+00:00 Diva Septiawan [email protected] Giri Wahyu Wiriasto [email protected] <p>Cloud computing has become a crucial paradigm in the management and delivery of computing services. One vital aspect of cloud computing is the performance of cloudlet execution, referring to the processing or execution of tasks within the cloud computing environment. Hence, a study was conducted to investigate the influence of various data center (DC) and virtual machine (VM) configurations on cloudlet execution time. The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of Data Center and virtual machine configurations on cloudlet performance in a simulation environment using CloudSim, an open-source simulation toolkit commonly used to evaluate and analyze cloud computing systems. The primary focus of this study is on the performance of cloudlets, which are the smallest units of work in the cloud computing model. The research involves variations in parameters related to the Data Center and virtual machines, including the number of physical machines, resource allocation, and task management schemes. Experiments were conducted to measure the impact of these configuration changes on cloudlet response time, throughput, and resource usage. The performance measurements are expected to provide in-depth insights into how Data Center and virtual machine configurations can affect the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud computing.</p> 2024-06-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Diva Septiawan, Giri Wahyu Wiriasto https://jeet.unram.ac.id/index.php/rky/article/view/21 Blockchain-Based Authentication System Using IPFS for Land Certification in West Nusa Tenggara 2024-06-20T00:37:00+00:00 Melki Jonathan Andara [email protected] Heri Wijayanto [email protected] <p>Land certification is an important process in natural resource management, especially in land and soil management. However, this process often faces security and validity issues, such as duplication, manipulation, and the use of counterfeit documents. Therefore, this research develops a blockchain-based authentication system that uses InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) technology to enhance the security and validity of land certification in West Nusa Tenggara. A web application prototype was developed to demonstrate the practical implementation of this framework. Rigorous testing of the prototype validated the correct functionality of the proposed solution. The research findings indicate that the blockchain-based authentication system using IPFS technology can improve the security and validity of land certification, as well as facilitate the land and soil management process.</p> 2024-06-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Melki Jonathan Andara, Heri Wijayanto https://jeet.unram.ac.id/index.php/rky/article/view/16 Implementasi Metode CNN Pada Klasifikasi Sentimen Terhadap Pelaksanaan Piala Dunia U-17 2024-02-18T09:39:55+00:00 Sihol Paabanan Simanjuntak [email protected] Sunneng Sandino Berutu [email protected] Gogor C. Setyawan [email protected] <p>The World Cup is the world's largest tournament and is organized by the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA). Football is one famous sport in Indonesia; after the information that the U17 World Cup will be held in Indonesia, of course, many people talk about this, and it become a trending topic on Twitter. One way to analyze and process texts is through sentiment analysis. The purpose of this sentiment analysis is to identify positive, neutral, and negative sentences that originate from Twitter comments. The study also aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model in classifying sentimental sentences into positive, neutral and negative categories. The research implemented the CNN method. Tweet data was obtained through Google Collab. Sentiment analysis using CNN algorithms involves the results of two different data labelling methods. The results of the sentiment analysis with the CNN model using TextBlob labelling, showed 367 positive tweets, 253 neutral tweets and 48 negative tweets, with an accuracy of 89.67%, precision of 90.18%, recall of 89,67% and F1 score of 89.00%. The sentiment analysis results with the CNN using Vader Sentiment labelling, showing 80 positive tweets, 582 neutral tweets and 6 negative tweets, with an accuracy of 97.01%, precision of 96.21%, recall of 97.01% and F1 score of 96.46%. Results of sentiment analysis using the CNN model and 2 data labelling methods resulted in the following accuracy: the accuracy Model CNN with the textBlob data and the Vader Sentiment labelling were 89% and 97%, respectively.</p> 2024-06-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Engineering and Emerging Technology https://jeet.unram.ac.id/index.php/rky/article/view/20 Pengaruh kandungan hibrid partikel CaCO3 dan karet dalam perekatan epoxy terhadap kekuatan geser sambungan baja 2024-06-18T08:58:30+00:00 Muhaimin Zikril [email protected] Sugiman Sugiman [email protected] Agus Dwi Catur [email protected] <p><em>The paper investigates the effect of hybrid of CaCO3 and ground tire rubber in the epoxy adhesive on the shear strength of adhesively bonded steel joints. The content of CaCO3 was in the range of 1-5 wt%, while the content of ground tire rubber was 0, 5 and 10 wt%. It was found that the shear strength of steel joints did not significantly change when the filler worked independently compared to the neat epoxy. However, the shear strength increased significantly for the hybrid of 3wt% CaCO3 and 5 wt% ground tire rubber, up to 146% compared to that of the neat epoxy. The failure of the joint was interfacial for each fille working independently, but it was mixed failure (interfacial and cohesive) for the epoxy filled with the hybrid of CaCO3 and ground tire rubber.</em></p> 2024-06-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muhaimin Zikril, Sugiman Sugiman, Agus Dwi Catur
